Truth in Fiction

It’s not that they are reading, it’s what they are reading that is so important in the lives of young readers today.  Many times we applaud the young person for tackling a 500 page novel, saying to ourselves “at least they are reading” without actually taking the time to read it for ourselves and discover what lessons are being presented within the book.  Truth in Fiction is a class designed to introduce young people to the world of faith-based fiction written by strong, believing Christian authors that write to challenge, educate, and empower a reader’s own faith; while, at the same time, entertain with a captivating story.

Truth in Fiction is geared towards the avid reader, and to the new reader alike. A chapter-by-chapter reading schedule keeps the avid reader from blazing ahead, and helps the new reader from being too overwhelmed.  Truth in Fiction meets once a week, and all reading is done while in class.  This frees those that attend from the worry of balancing a reading schedule and a school work load. It also ensures that all members are on the same page, and no one is bored with the book because they are finished with it before everyone else.
