Our Pastor

Dr. John L. Blair

Dr. Blair came from First Baptist Church of Jacksonville, Florida where he served on staff for twelve years. While at First Baptist he served in the Pastoral Ministries and was Pastor of the FBC Chinese Ministry. Taking his experience from a congregation of twenty-four thousand he came to Fort Wayne and Coventry Baptist Church in answer to a call in July of 1996. He and his wife, Debra, have three children and two grandchildren.

Sue S. Ellsworth

Sue has served as Secretary at Coventry Baptist Church since March 1988. Her duties are varied as she keeps track of appointments, calendars, correspondence and the daily running of the Church Office. Weekly Bulletins, Newsletters, Church Directory and Membership Records are also a part of her work.

Sue was raised in a Christian home by loving parents. She accepted Jesus as her Lord and Savior at the age of 8. Sue’s desire is to use the talents God has given her and to show God’s love and kindness to members of Coventry and people around her.

Sue's husband is Bill Ellsworth. She has one daughter and two grandsons.
